Words Beats & Life's Breakfast of Champions
Join Words Beats & Life for our 2nd Annual Breakfast of Champions - taking place at Busboys and Poets in February. This event will be co-hosted by the staff, volunteers and Board members of WBL as part of the inagural "I ♥ WBL" week. With 22% of our budget coming directly from public support and earned income, we are asking YOU to be a champion and support the work we do with DC youth and families through hip-hop.
With a minimum donation of $25, you get to enjoy breakfast amongst other WBL champion supporters, staff, board members and former students at one of the hottest spots in the U Street Corridor. $35 will get you breakfast and a "I ♥ WBL" t-shirt. Additionally, we will be honoring several of our champions:
Mr. Tim Conlon, Ms. Gloria Nauden, Ms. Kelly Matthews, and Mr. Rhome Anderson.
Come out and celebrate how hip-hop is transforming individual lives and whole communities on Friday, February. 11th at 8:30am-9:30am!
